The US Air Force shot down an “unidentified object” over Alaska Friday. John Kirby, a Pentagon spokesperson made the announcement at the daily press briefing.
Kirby said that the object was travelling at an altitude that could interfere with civilian air traffic. Kirby did not say what the object was but that it was shot down “out of an abundance of caution.”
It comes just a week after the Biden White House allowed a Chinese spy ball to gimp its route across North America.
