TikTok lobbying efforts in Washington are being criticized by a Republican legislator: “Afraid to offend their overlords,” he said.

Rep. Mike Gallagher of Wisconsin, said to the New York Times Thursday that TikTok still appeared to be afraid to offend their Beijing overlords despite its efforts to lobby Washington.
