NPR on Wednesday announced that approximately 10% of their current employees would be dismissed by the end next month. 

John Lansing, NPR’s CEO wrote that when we refer to eliminating full-time positions, it means we mean our employees – those whose skills and spirit help make NPR what is today.” He sent a memo out to staffers. that was published by the organization’s media reporter, David Folkenflik.

Lansing: “This is a big loss.”
