Biden Administration announced Friday that there were over 156,000 encounters with migrants in January. They claimed the figures show that border controls are working, despite being more than the January before.
These encounters were slightly more than those of January 2017, which was 154,874, and much higher than that encountered in Jan 2020, when there were 78,414.
Customs and Border Protection, however, stated that they are an abrupt drop off the records.
