In a stunning twist, Donald Trump has been formally indicted by a Manhattan-based grand jury. Within the weeks prior, the scenario had appeared to deteriorate for District Lawyer Alvin Bragg. On Wednesday, it was introduced that the grand jury was being despatched house for a month.

The idea, a good one on the time, was that Bragg wanted extra time to rescue his case. That was apparently incorrect, although, because the grand jury voted to indict on Thursday (The New York Instances).
