The Biden administration has negotiated a hard-fought settlement amongst California, Arizona and Nevada to take much less water from the drought-strained Colorado River, a deal that reduces, for now, the chance of the river working dry under the Hoover Dam, which might jeopardize the water provide for Phoenix, Los Angeles and a few of America’s best agricultural land.
